CAMCOS is a vibrant community hub for Cameroonians in Colorado Springs! CAMCOS also welcomes other Africans living within Colorado Springs and its nearby cities. The organization is registered under section 501(c)(3) of the US Internal Revenue Code, which allows for the federal tax exemption of nonprofit organizations, public charities, and private operating foundations.
Cameroon is known as the heart of Central and West Africa. Cameroon, often referred to as “Africa in miniature” or "Le continent," is a treasure trove of diverse landscapes, rich wildlife, and cultural heritage.
From the bustling streets of Yaoundé, our inland capital, to the vibrant port city of Douala, Cameroon stretches its beauty across ecotourism sites and stunning beach resorts. Imagine the serene beauty of Kribi, where the majestic Chutes de la Lobé waterfalls meet the sea, and the tranquil charm of Limbe, home to the Limbe Wildlife Centre, a sanctuary for rescued primates.
Here, we celebrate and promulgate Cameroon's culture in Colorado Springs, connecting Cameroonians and their well-wishers through shared culture, stories, experiences, and the rich tapestry of our homeland.
